  • .NET Developer

    This person will be joining a small team in Albany that works that writes a banking application.  Solid company to grow with both technically and in general.  Using VB.Net and  C# along with  Visual Studio 2008  Must have experience with Microsoft SQL Server Database, Transact SQL, stored procedures and/or administrative functions.  Team that works hard but also likes a good laugh.   Experience can vary but must  have at least 2 -3 years of work experience.  Salary range open 55-70K depending on experience.

    We are currently seeking a Sr. Developer/Analyst to develop Windows and Intranet applications to support efficient operation of Credit Union business functions and associated computer equipment and systems. This individual will also provide training and coaching for team members and lead assigned projects to ensure project completion on-time and within budget.

     

    Key job duties will be to:

    ·         Develop, maintain and support existing applications;

    ·         Write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications;

    ·         Consult with all levels of management to determine information requirements to establish boundaries and priorities of new projects and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions;

    ·         Analyze current operating processes, develop project feasibility studies and establish work standards;

    ·         Collaborate with developers, programmers, and designers in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications;

    ·         Coordinate the development and documentation of business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments;

    ·         Develop appropriate project plans for the implementation of applications and systems and provide periodic updates on the status;

    ·         Implement and coordinate new technologies and computer platforms to meet the needs of the Credit Union and its subsidiaries;

    ·         Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas;

    ·         Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines.

    ·         Perform other duties as assigned.

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

    ·         Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering, and/or 5 years equivalent work experience;

    ·         Preferred proficiency in: .NET & ASP .NET development, Microsoft Office Applications, Intranet Applications and general computer programming language capabilities;

    ·         Proficiency in a variety of programming languages;

    ·         Extensive relational database and operating systems experience with MS SQL 2005;

    ·         Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies;

    ·         Excellent oral, written and auditory communication skills including strong interpersonal skills.

    • Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications as necessary;
    • Write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications;
    • Develop, maintain & update Windows programming initiatives at an intermediate level:
      • Ability to code and deploy intermediate level .NET Windows Applications.
      • Ability to code and deploy intermediate level ASP.NET Web-based Applications.
    • Develop and maintain Corporate Intranet Portal applications;
    • Collaborate with developers, programmers, and designers in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications;
    • Prepare progress reports to inform management of project status and deviation from goals;
    • Participate in technical projects such as writing equipment specifications or developing computer programs for specified applications;
    • Strictly adhere to and enforce system security policy and standards. Monitor and recommend modifications to host privileges as deemed appropriate;
    • Research, identify, analyze, and fulfill requirements of all internal and external program users;
    • Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas;
    • Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines;
    • Other duties as assigned.
